St. Louis – With a sweep over Webster, the Maryville volleyball team set its Division II record for season wins at 16. The Saints cruised to a 25-14, 25-19, 25-10 to surpass the 15 victories by the 2014 team. The 16 wins are the most since the 1999 team won 18 times.
Abbie Schnell recorded a double-double with 21 assists and 14 digs.
Caroline Glastetter topped the team with 10 kills, while
Ella Brinkmann came up with 18 digs.

The Saints reeled off six straight points to take early control after an ace by
Taylor Hasbrook. Up 10-7, Maryville scored four-in-a-row, starting with a Glastetter kill, and nine of the next 11 points to surge to a 19-9 advantage. Schnell's ace ended the opening set. The defense limited Webster to a -.061 hitting percentage with just four kills and six errors. Webster scored the first four points of set two but the Saints slowly rallied and turned a 7-5 deficit into a 9-7 advantage.
Hanna Dressing started a run of four straight points with a kill. After Webster tallied two points, Maryville stretched its lead to 21-14 and held off the Gorloks.

The Saints embarked on a 5-0 burst and eventually took an 8-3 lead on a
Grace Graham kill. Webster closed to within 10-8 before
Lily Brown had a kill to ignite a 9-0 spree, capped by a kill from
Lynsey Batson. The Saints closed out the match by scoring the final six points, and a Brinkmann service ace ended the contest. Maryville hit a match-high .306 in the last set, and held Webster to a -.029 hitting percentage in the match with 12 kills and 15 errors.
