SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – The Maryville women's soccer team collected their fourth tie of the season in a 0-0 draw on the road against Drury University on Friday night. The two teams combined for just four shots on goal to move the Saints' record to an unbeaten 4-0-4 in Great Lakes Valley Conference play.

Katie Nash made three saves to keep the Panthers off the board, bagging her seventh shutout of the year. Overall, the Saints are 6-2-4 in 2022 and have not allowed a goal over their last three matches.

The home team fired a pair of shot attempts in the first 12 minutes that missed the net, followed a few minutes later by
Sara Lawler's shot that missed wide left. At 17:44, Nash picked up her first save of the evening when Panthers' leading scorer Tara Simon tried to score with a low shot.

Roughly 15 minutes later, Christine Harpe put one on net but Nash was again up to the task for another save. Reigning GLVC Offensive Player of the Week
Hannah Kostelz fired a shot 54 seconds before halftime but missed right to keep things deadlocked at 0-0 heading into the break.

Tori Calvert took the Saints' only shot on goal at 48:42 but had her low, centered attempt turned aside by Kaitlin Knetzke. The Panthers got a few more shot attempts off over the remainder of the half, but the two teams ultimately tied 0-0 after 90 minutes.

Next up for the women's soccer team is a meeting on Sunday, Oct. 9, with Southwest Baptist University. Kickoff is scheduled for noon in Bolivar, Mo.
