St. Louis - All five starters for Maryville scored in double figures as the Saints women's basketball team defeated Quincy 67-63 in a non-conference contest. Hunter Stidham led the way with 15 points, while Taylor Kirby scored all 12 of her points after halftime. Carsyn Fearday scored 11 points, added seven rebounds and handed out five assists. She iced the game by hitting two free throws with 3.1 seconds left. The Saints committed a season-low six turnovers in the game.
 
Quincy recap
Leading 28-26 at halftime, the Saints burst out of intermission by scoring the first seven points of the third quarter. Sitdham drilled a 3-pointer, and Kirby converted consecutive layups for a 35-26 lead. The Hawks stayed close but Stidham sank another triple followed by Kirby's layup as Maryville took its largest lead of the day at 49-38 into the final quarter.
 
QU scored the first four baskets until Kirby stopped the run with a three-point play. Haidyn Pitsch hit a wing jumper before the Hawks closed to 57-55. Antoinette Mussorici splashed in a crucial 3-pointer to push the margin back to 50-55 with 2:24 remaining. Quincy got as close as 60-58 before the Saints made five of six free throws to remain in front. The Hawks made a final push with five straight points but Fearday converted two at the line in the final seconds to seal Maryville's third straight victory. Mussorici finished with 12 points, and Pitsch chipped in 10 points.
