St. Louis – In its final non-conference game, the Maryville women's basketball team rolled to an 88-45 victory over Cardinal Stritch. The victory stretches the Saints winning streak to a season-high four games.
Hunter Stidham drilled six 3-pointers en route to 22 points, and
Haidyn Pitsch scored 13 points, all in the first half, to pace the offense.

Pitsch nailed a 3-pointer on the game's opening possession, and
Taylor Kirby powered up for a layup and a quick 5-1 lead. Still up 13-8,
Abby Weis drilled a trey, and
Carsyn Fearday added a short jumper. The Wolves scored one more bucket before the Saints splashed in three straight 3-pointers. Fearday scored at the quarter buzzer as the Saints build a 29-10 advantage. Maryville shots 62.5 percent in the quarter, including a blazing 7-of-10 from beyond the arc.

Maryville embarked on an early 12-2 burst in the second quarter to break the game open. Pitsch knocked down a jumper, and
Maddy Meehan scored twice inside.
Antoinette Mussorici sandwiched layups around a drive by Weis as the Saints went up 43-14. Maryville took a 45-22 margin into the break.

The Saints kept a comfortable margin into the third and scored the final 15 points of the quarter. Maryville shut out Cardinal Stritch over that span and held the visitors to just five points in the third. Stidham keyed the spree with three 3-pointers. The Saints pushed their advantage to as many as 46 points in the final stanza. All 12 Saints who played scored at least two points.
