Haidyn Pitsch poured in a career-high 27 points as the Maryville women's basketball team extended its winning streak to five with a 75-70 victory at Missouri S&T. Pitsch scored 18 points in six minutes during the third quarter, and
Carsyn Fearday recorded a double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds. The Saints continue their best Division II era start at 10-3 as well as the best GLVC start with a 5-1 mark.

Trailing 6-5, the Saints surged ahead on the strength of a 9-0 burst. Fearday started the run with a layup, and
Antoinette Mussorici followed with a drive and bucket. Fearday nailed a jumper,
Jenna Cotter scored in traffic, and one free throw by Mussorici built a 14-6 lead. The Miners inched back to 18-15 before Maryville scored six straight points. Fearday,
Abby Weis and
Haidyn Pitsch all scored inside for a 24-15 advantage. The Saints kept Missouri S&T off the scoreboard for the final three minutes of the second quarter and took a 32-21 lead into the break.

The Miners scored to open the third quarter before the Saints answered with seven straight points.
Taylor Kirby had a layup and Pitsch drilled a 3-pointer and jumper to push the Saints on top 39-23. The Saints kept a double-digit lead throughout the third. Pitsch sank two more late 3-pointers for a 51-34 advantage and took a 58-43 cushion into the final 10 minutes.

Kirby made a layup for a 66-51 lead at the 6:32 mark of the fourth before the Miners mounted a big rally. Missouri S&T outscored the Saints 12-2 and closed to within 68-63 with two minutes to play. Pitsch drilled a triple to give Maryville 71-63 edge. The Miners scored five straight before Pitsch made one free throw, and the Saints defense forced a turnover. Mussorici sank two free throws with 16 seconds left for a 74-68 lead. Missouri S&T made a layup but Pitsch hit one final free throw to seal the 75-70 victory.

Kirby finished with 11 points, while Mussorici added 10 points.
Hunter Stidham and
Maddy Meehan both snared eight rebounds apiece.
