Antoinette Mussorici scored 23 points, including her 1,000th at Maryville, but the Saints saw their five-game winning streak end Saturday at Missouri-St. Louis. Mussorici drilled a 3-pointer from the top of the key to reach the 1,000-point milestone at Maryville.
Carsyn Fearday and
Haidyn Pitsch both tallied 11 points apiece. The Tritons blazed the nets at a 57.1 percent clip to topple the Saints.

Haidyn Pitsch drained a 3-pointer to put the Saints on top by one before the Tritons reeled off nine straight points. Fearday had a three-point play but the Tritons stayed red-shot from the field in grabbing a double-digit lead. UMSL shot 70.6 percent in the first quarter to put the Saints in a deficit. Early in the second, Mussorici scored back-to-back buckets, and
Taylor Kirby did the same as the Saints reeled off an 8-0 burst. Maryville went into the halftime break trailing 42-28.

UMSL kept a double-digit lead for the third quarter before the Saints attempted to rally in the final 10-minute stanza. Still down 60-47, Mussorici sank two free throws. An
Abby Weis steal led to a short jumper by Pitsch as the Saints closed to 60-51 with nine minutes to play. UMSL went back ahead at 65-54 until Maryville scored seven straight keyed by a full-court press. Kirby hit one free throw, and Weis had a steal and a breakaway layup.
Maddy Meehan powered for a bucket, and a drive by Mussorici brought the Saints to 65-61 with 5:05 left in the game. The Saints stayed close and again trimmed the gap to six on a Mussorici 3-pointer with 43 seconds to play, but UMSL hit six straight free throws to hold on for the win.
