St. Louis – The Maryville women's basketball team was looking to topple league-leader Missouri-St. Louis but a big third quarter by the Tritons snapped the Saints' two-game winning streak 65-49.
Carsyn Fearday and
Haidyn Pitsch led Maryville with 11 points apiece.

What Happened:
The visitors led 15-14 after one and built a 20-16 lead early in the second quarter. Fearday drilled a 3-pointer that sparked an 8-0 run. Pitsch followed with a trey to push the Saints ahead.
Antoinette Mussorici sank a jumper as Maryville built a 24-20 edge. UMSL came back to take a 33-30 lead into the break.

The Tritons opened the third quarter by scoring the first 14 points before
Olivia Kastens got the Saints on the scoreboard.
Hunter Stidham scored on a drive and her free throw pulled the Saints to within 52-36. Maryville cut into the UMSL lead and closed to within 61-46 but the Tritons held on.
