St. Louis – For the second time in a week,
Antoinette Mussorici rained down 30 points, while
Taylor Kirby had a double-double as the Maryville women's basketball team defeated Lindenwood 77-66 Saturday. Mussorici hit 12 of her 21 shots, and Kirby scored 13 points and snared 10 rebounds.
Carsyn Fearday and
Haidyn Pitsch both finished with 11 points. The Saints shot 52.7 percent in the contest, including hitting 8-of-17 from beyond the arc.

What Happened:
The Lady Lions took a 21-18 lead after the first quarter but the Saints rallied in the second to forge a 34-34 tie at the break. The Saints used a 9-2 run to grab a 45-38 lead early in the third. Pitsch sank two jumpers to key the burst. Lindenwood cut into the lead but six straight points pushed Maryville ahead 53-43. The Saints settled for a 55-47 lead after three quarters.

In the fourth quarter, Mussorici took over for the Saints as she scored 11 straight points for Maryville. Lindenwood pulled the gap down to 69-64 with four minutes to play but the Saints responded with six straight points to seal the win. Kirby sank a jumper, and Mussorici converted two free throws. Pitsch scored for a 75-64 margin as the Saints eased to the win.
