St. Louis – The Maryville men's basketball team saw Lindenwood use a big run midway through the second half as the Saints lost a 73-55 decision Saturday.
Trey Baker scored a season-high 10 points and
Cameron Scales matched his output with 10, while also grabbing nine rebounds. The Saints only turned the ball over nine times.

What Happened:
The Saints trailed 7-4 and the Lion scored seven straight.
Ari Jackson knocked down a jumper but Lindenwood stretched its lead to 19-8. Maryville cut into the deficit and used an 8-0 burst, with every point coming from
Trey Baker off the bench. He sank two straight 3-pointers and knocked down a jumper to pull the Saints to 27-24 with 4:12 left in the half. However, the Lions answered with a 10-0 run. A late trey send Lindenwood to halftime with a 42-28 lead.

The Saints still were down 50-39 before
Cameron Scales scored on a driving layup to start a 9-3 run.
Harrison Vickers then scored consecutive layups and his triple cut the Lindenwood edge down to 53-48 with 13 minutes to play. The Lions' lead stood at 61-50 after a Jackson free throw but Lindenwood sealed the victory with 12 straight points.
