St. Louis - The Maryville baseball team won its home opener at Weber Field 4-3 Saturday over Hillsdale as
Elias Stevens scored on a wild pitch in the bottom of the 10th inning. The Saints overcame an early 3-0 deficit to post the victory.
Hillsdale took a 3-0 after four innings. The Willis launched a two-run blast as the Saints cut into the lead.
Michael Gould lifted a sac fly that plated Stevens with the tying run in the eighth inning. In the tenth, Stevens walked to start the inning and took second on Hoff's sac bunt. After a walk, Stevens reached third on a wild pitch. With two outs, Hillsdale threw a wild pitch that allowed Stevens to dash home with the game-winning run.
