Frankfort, Ky. – The Maryville men's volleyball team pushed its winning streak to a season-high five by sweeping a pair of matches at Kentucky State. The Saints won the first match 25-11, 25-15, 26-24. Maryville claimed match two 25-17, 25-20, 25-18.

Match 1
The Saints scored 10 straight points to take control of set one. Maryville had five kills during the run to take early control. A 5-1 run midway through the set sealed the win. In set two, a 7-0 burst proved to be the difference. Maryville led 6-5 but soared to a 13-5 advantage. KSU got as close as 16-11 but another stretch of five points in six boosted the Saints. In the final set, neither team led by more than two points until the Saints took a 17-14 lead. It was still 19-15 but KSU inched ahead 23-21. The Saints responded with three straight to reach match point. KSU saved one but back-to-back kills by

The Saints went on a 7-1 run en route to claiming the first set. Maryville used a 6-0 spurt to pull away in the second set. The difference in the third and final set was a seven straight points as the Saints closed out the double sweep on the day.
