Antoinette Mussorici poured in a season-high 26 points and the Maryville women's basketball team rallied for a sparkling 70-67 victory over Missouri S&T. She drained five of six shots from beyond the arc and hit the basket that finally gave the Saints the lead for good.
Hunter Stidham scored 11 points, while
Carsyn Fearday hauled down a career-best 12 rebounds. The Saints overcame a seven-point deficit with just over six minutes to play to record the win.

What Happened:
Missouri S&T used a big third quarter to take a 52-44 edge after 30 minutes. The Saints still trailed by 59-52 at the 6:12 mark before rallying. Mussorici drilled a 3-pointer, and
Taylor Kirby scored on an offensive put back. The Miners were leading 62-57 before Mussorici sank two free throws and a jumper to pull to 62-61. Missouri S&T made one free throw but Kirby tied the game with two at the stripe. The Saints finally took the lead when Mussorici swished in a wing triple for a 66-63 edge with 1:17 to play.

The visitors closed to within one but Kirby and
Olivia Kastens both converted two free throws piece for a 70-65 lead with under 10 seconds left. The Miners scored with 2.5 seconds to play but did not get an attempt off before the final buzzer as the Saints held on for the victory.
