Fort Valley, Ga. – Led by 
Jacob Fischer's nine kills and .643 hitting percentage, the Maryville men's volleyball team edged Fort Valley State 26-24, 25-23, 25-21. 
Victor Ganev and 
Mason Mortimer both finished with seven kills apiece, and 
Cameron Chambers notched 27 assists while accounting for four kills.
 
Fort Valley State Recap
Trailing 15-12, the Saints came back to score five of the next six points to grab a small lead. Maryville's margin was 22-20 but FVSU took a 24-23 edge. After two straight Fort Valley State errors, Fischer and Chambers had a block to give the Saints a 26-24 win.
 
Maryville was up 20-19 before tallying three straight points late in set two. After a kill by Ganev and an FVSU error, Fischer and Mortimer had a block for a 23-19 lead. The home squad tied the set at 23-23 but kills by Mortimer and 
Cole Torrence gave Maryville a 25-23 decision.
 
The third set was deadlocked at 21-all before the Saints received back-to-back points on a Ganev kill and FVSU error. The hosts scored a point to get to 23-22 but Fischer had a kill and served an ace at match point for a 25-22 win.
