Lindenwood Game One Recap
Maryville came ready to play in the first game, scoring three runs in the first inning off of the Lindenwood starting pitcher. The Saints loaded the bases for Elias Stevens with no outs and he brought in a run with a single to left. Two more came around on an RBI single from Alex Hoof and a sacrifice fly from Ben Hopkins.

Three more came in in the top of the third on an error, a Hopkins RBI single, and a Nick Hofmann single to right-center. Michael Gould continued to pour it on for the visitors, extending their lead to 8-0 with a two-RBI double in the fourth.

With plenty of run support, starting pitcher Ben Prywitch kept Lindenwood at bay, going four innings while allowing just two hits and no runs with three strikeouts. Philip Reinhardt picked up a save in his three innings of work to finish of a 9-2 victory for the Saints.

Lindenwood Game Two Recap
The starting pitchers ensured game two got off to a slow offensive start, keeping things deadlocked at zero until the top of the fourth inning.

Maryville exploded for six runs in the top half of the fourth, however. Hoff led off with a double, Hopkins walked, Andy Bunton was hit by a pitch, and a bunt from Hofmann brought two runs home. Willis then singled to right field for two RBIs followed later by an RBI double from Joey Polak and a sacrifice fly from Stevens.

Now in a six-run deficit, Lindenwood found some offense of their own with four runs in the bottom of the fourth.

The Saints clung to a two-run lead before the Lions cut that in half with a run in the eighth. Needing insurance in the top of the ninth, Stevens stepped to the plate with one out and ripped a two-RBI double to right to extend the lead to 8-5.

Geo Camfield stepped on the mound in his third inning of work in the bottom of the ninth and allowed just one more hit on his way to his first save of the season. Maryville has now won five of their last eight against Lindenwood and currently sit fourth in the Great Lakes Valley Conference standings,
