Columbus, Ohio – Facing No. 14 Ohio State, the Maryville men's volleyball team was unable to pull off the upset as the Buckeyes won 25-13, 25-18, 25-18. 
Victor Ganev led the Saints with six kills, while 
Ethan Beyreis-Heim had 13 assists and eight digs.

The Saints were down 7-2 before 
Caden Klingbeil and 
Victor Ganev sandwiched kills around an OSU point. However, the Buckeyes scored four straight points before Maryville tallied a point. The Saints scored three straight late in the set when Ganev had a kill, and he and 
David Fleischer teamed up for a block. Klingbeil served an ace but the Saints never pulled back to within single digits.
 
OSU took a narrow lead in set two and were up 13-8 before the Saints made a run. After two OSU miscues, 
Ethan Beyreis-Heim fired in an ace. Another Ohio State hitting error pulled Maryville to within 13-12. The teams traded points but a kill by 
Luke Van Handel and an OSU setting error forged a 15-15 tie. The Buckeyes scored four straight and held off a late Maryville push.
 
The Saints tied set three at 3-3 on a Ganev ace. OSU edged out to an 8-5 lead before the Saints had a block and a Buckeye error pulled the Saints to within one. Ohio State went on a 5-0 burst to stretch out its lead. Maryville scored three of the next four points to close to within 14-10. The Saints made one more push with a 3-1 run and an ace by 
Jayden Rookhuyzen cut the gap to 19-16. However, the Saints were unable to forge a tie as Ohio State closed out the contest.
