ROMEOVILLE, Ill. – Maryville men's soccer lost 2-0 to Lewis University in a Friday morning road match. The Saints fall to 8-2-3 overall and 5-2-2 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference.

Run of Play:
- The Flyers had several shot attempts early in the first half, but Joram Bogers put the first shot on goal in the 22nd minute.
- Bogers broke through at 36:40 when he finished off a scoring chance set up by a pass from Jael Chavez.
- The Saints were outshot 6-0 in the first half.
- Two minutes into the second half, Bogers found the back of the net again to open up a 2-0 lead.
- In the 56th minute, Makonnen Stampley missed high two minutes before Simon Madsen saved another Bogers shot, looking for the hat trick.
- Maryville made a few more pushes in the final 10 minutes, but Leyson Losada and Yayo Mutombo both had their shots blocked to end a 2-0 final.
