UIndy recap
The Greyhounds posted their best hitting percentage of the match to win set one, while the Saints evened the contest up with a late rush in the second set. UIndy was on the brink of taking the first two sets when it grabbed a 24-21 lead. Instead, the Saints responded with five straight points to even the match. After a UIndy error,
Lynsey Batson and Brauman sandwiched blocks around a Brauman kill to earn their own set point. Brauman then notched a solo block to give the Saints a 26-24 win.
Â
UIndy used a big run late in the third set to take the lead before the Saints again answered. Maryville led set four 8-6 but reeled off one of its best runs of the season with 10 straight points. A Greyhound error started the burst, and Brauman's kill built an 18-6 advantage to even the match.
Â
The visitors started the fifth set by grabbing a 5-1 run.
Alyssa Koska entered the match and helped start a 4-0 run. Glastetter put down a kill before Koska served an ace.
Grace Knadler hammered a kill, and Brinkmann's finish tied the score at 5-all. UIndy went back ahead 6-5 but Glastetter and two Brinkmann kills put the Saints on top 8-6. The Greyhounds tied the score, and the contest remained deadlocked all the way up to 13-13. Dressing drilled down a kill to set up match point. Koska re-entered the contest, and her service ace ended the match for the Saints.
Â
Rachel Schipper added 22 assists and 13 digs, while
Abbie Schnell handed out 33 assists. Glastetter finished with 10 kills, and
