Women's Golfers are Fifth After Opening 18 Holes of Music City Invitational

Murfreesboro, Tenn. – After the opening 18 holes of the Music City Invitational, the Maryville women's golf team finds itself in fifth place out of 12 teams. In posting a team total of 316, the Saints are only 10 shots out of first place with the final round scheduled for Tuesday.

Jenna Clark and Effie Perakis lead the Saints and are tied for 11th place overall after opening with a score of 78. Clark put up two birdies on the day, while Perakis notched 10 pars and one birdie. Ivy Lai is one shot back at 79 after putting up 11 pars, while Maggie King had one birdie in her round and came home at 81. Sydney McCord shot 85, while Chloe Davidson played as an individual and posted a 79.

Lincoln Memorial and Carson-Newman are tied for team honors at 306. LMU's Rachel Mathieson and CNU's Hannah Holland are top the individual leaderboard at 73.
