The Cardinals had their highest hitting percentage of the night to win set one, while the Saints bounced back to even the match in set two. William Jewell took set three to force the Saints into rally mode.

The fourth set was close throughout and was tied at 18-18. Dressing put down a kill to push the Saints ahead, and two straight WJC errors extended the margin to 21-18. The visitors grabbed the early lead in the final set by a 4-1 margin. The Saints forced three straight miscues to tie the set at 4-4. The Cardinals took the lead at 8-7 but it would be the final time of the night they would be in front. Brinkmann's ace tied the score to start a 5-0 run, and Makenna Brauman's kill edged the Saints ahead 9-8. Another Brinkmann ace followed by a WJC error and a Brauman kill made it 12-8.
