Mason Crew's goal in the 75
th minute propelled men's soccer to a 2-1 Homecoming win on Sunday afternoon. Crew swatted a pass from
Tim Smith out of the air and into the back of the net to lift the Saints to their eighth win of the 2023 season.

Run of Play:
- Yayo Mutombo missed high on a good opportunity at 1:52 but capitalized on a wide-open chance in the eighth minute after Tim Smith found him with a pass in the box.
- Nick Hemann collected his first save of the afternoon at 15:31 when Melo Mensah shot low to his right and he laid out to make the stop.
- The second half began with another Mutombo shot on goal 30 seconds in, but UMSL keeper Austin Reis was up to the task.
- Yemil Lopez had a good look at the net in the 52nd minute but was turned aside by Hemann.
- In the 62nd minute, Devin Livingstone tied the game off an assist from Bobby Boone.
- Mason Crew was declined on a shot in the 69th minute, but batted in a pass out of the air from Smith to give the Saints the lead at 74:51.
- UMSL had one last good scoring chance in the final minute of the game, but a strong touch on a pass put an end to a 2-1 Maryville win.
