Women's Basketball Earns No. 6 Seed for 2023 GLVC Tournament

Indianapolis – The Maryville women's basketball team has earned the No. 6 seed for the 2023 Great Lakes Valley Conference Tournament and will play No. 3 seed Truman State Friday, March 3, at 8:15 p.m. in Hyland Arena on the campus of Lindenwood University. The GLVC office announced the full eight-team tournament bracket Saturday.
 
The Saints posted an overall record of 15-12 and went 10-10 in the GLVC regular season for a 3.03 PRS rating. Truman State went 19-9 overall, 15-5 in the GLVC with a 3.70 PRS ranking during the season. The teams played an overtime contest Jan. 26, in Kirksville, Mo., with Truman edging the Saints in a 99-97 thriller.
 
The Saints are making their 10th appearance in the GLVC Tournament and won the 2012 championship. If Maryville advances, it will face the winner of the No. 2 Lewis-No. 7 McKendree contest Saturday, March 4, at 8:15 p.m. The championship game is slated for Sunday, March 5, at 3:30 p.m. Other quarterfinal matchups are No. 1 Drury versus No. 8 Quincy, and No. 4 Indianapolis against No. 5 Missouri S&T.
 
For the second year in a row, all GLVC Championship Tournament action will be streamed live for $15 per game or $35 for the full tournament on GLVCSN.com, the GLVCSN iOS and Android mobile apps, and GLVCSN OTT apps on Roku, Amazon Fire TV, Apple TV, and Android TV. More broadcast details will be shared next week.
 
All spectators attending in person will be required to pre-purchase tickets online at GLVCsports.com/tickets. No cash will be accepted on site.
