Carsyn Fearday poured in a career-high 24 points, and
Taylor Kirby had the third-best shooting percentage in school history at 91.7 percent with 23 points as the Maryville women's basketball team flew past William Jewell 72-57. Kirby sank 11 of her 12 field goal attempts during her sparkling shooting performance.
Antoinette Mussorici led the team with seven assists and seven rebounds.

The Saints scored seven straight points to open a 17-10 lead. Fearday drained a 3-pointer from the right wing, and
Hunter Stidham followed from nearly the same spot. One free throw by Fearday gave the Saints a seven-point lead. Maryville led 22-17 after the first quarter. Early in the second, Kirby hit a jumper and
Haidyn Pitsch followed.
Rylee Mulvaney's triple pushed the Saints on top 32-22. Maryville's margin was still seven at halftime.

In the third, William Jewell closed to 36-31 before the Saints embarked on an 8-3 burst. Kirby hit three consecutive layups and a Fearday drive made it 44-34. The Cardinals heated up from deep but the Saints took a 52-45 edge into the fourth. Maryville used an 8-0 burst to extend its lead to 60-48 with 5:23 left in the game. The Saints led by as many as 15 points to cruise to a sweep of the Kansas City-area schools this weekend. Kirby's shooting percentage is the highest in school history with at least 10 made field goals.
