Springfield, Mo. – The Maryville women's basketball team was looking to build a three-game winning streak but No. 2 Drury extended its winning streak to 19 with an 81-57 decision over the Saints.
Antoinette Mussorici led the team with 18 points and four assists.
Haidyn Pitsch finished with 10 points, while
Madyson Rigdon chipped in a season-high seven points and four rebounds.

Drury recap
The Saints pulled to within 13-11 on a Rigdon layup but Drury went on an 11-3 run. Pitsch hit a 3-pointer to end the first for a 24-17 deficit. Early in the second quarter,
Maddy Meehan hit a jumper that cut the host's lead down to 29-21. The margin was still single digits when
Taylor Kirby converted two free throws with six minutes left in the half. Drury went on an 11-2 run before
Faith Hawthorne scored at the buzzer to make it 45-29 at the break.

Drury opened the third quarter by scoring nine of the first 10 points to push its advantage to more than 20 points. The Saints answered and made a run during a 10-2 burst.
Faith Hawthorne started the rush with a 3-pointer, the first of her career. After DU scored,
Carsyn Fearday had a layup, and Mussorici converted a three-point play. One free throw by Rigdon trimmed the deficit to 67-41. However, the Saints were unable to cut the deficit below 20 points the rest of the contest.
