ST. LOUIS – Maryville University took both games of a Saturday doubleheader against Drury University. The Saints won game one 3-2 on a walk-off fielder's choice in the bottom of the ninth before posting 14 runs in game two.

Game One Recap
Maryville starting pitcher
Jacob Kroeger set the side down in order in the top of the first with a pair of strikeouts.
Elias Stevens backed him with a solo home run to right field with two outs in the bottom of the first.

Kroeger continued to coast along until surrendering a solo home run to right-center in the top of the third to tie the game. Drury took a 2-1 lead in the fourth after an error and a sacrifice fly.

Later in the fifth,
Andy Bunton stepped up with one out and drilled a line drive home run to left field, the first of his career, to tie the game at two. Kroeger continued to deal on the mound and was relieved by
Noah Arras in the top of the seventh. He finished with seven strikeouts and one earned over six innings.

Arras pitched two shutout innings allowing just a lone hit in the seventh before
Ben Prywitch pitched a 1-2-3 top of the ninth to send it to the bottom still tied at 2-2.
Zeb Roos led off with a double to right-center and advanced to third on a wild pitch. The Panthers got the next batter on a strikeout, but
Michael Long hit a ground ball to the shortstop playing in, which allowed Roos to slide in safely with a walk-off 3-2 victory.

Game Two Recap
Jacob Hager kicked off a seven-run top of the first inning for the Saints with a grand slam with one out.
Camden Ruby doubled in two more runs a few batters later, and Bunton plated the seventh with an RBI groundout.

Drury struck back with three in the second to make it 7-3. Ruby, however, added four more RBI to his total with another grand slam in the bottom of the second to push the lead to 11-3.

In the third, Hager singled home another run before a two-run top of the fourth from the visitors to cut the lead to 12-6. In the fifth, Roos homered for the 13
th run and Ruby drove in his seventh run of the game with an RBI single for the 14
th for the Saints.

After Gregory wrapped up his day with four solid innings of work,
Geo Camfield,
Philip Reinhardt, and
Drake Downing slammed the door out of the bullpen to wrap up a 14-6 game-two win.
