- In the 54th minute, both Mulinya and Jimmy Doherty put shots on goal but they were denied by Olav van Zanten in the middle of a four-save performance.
- The Cardinals tied it up at 63:14 when Henry Staebell took a feed from Alexis Ibarra and buried it for his first goal of the season.
- Immediately following the kickoff, Caden Tubaugh was determined to take the lead back but van Zanten slammed the door shut with another save.
- Freshman Clayton Hamler put a high shot on goal in the final minute of the game but was turned aside to finish a 1-1 draw.
