Springfield, Mo. – Drury's Beth Matas Martin hit a jumper with 3.3 seconds left to snap Maryville's four-game winning streak 67-65 Thursday in Springfield, Mo. The Saints rallied from a 19-point deficit in the second half to take the lead before the taut ending.
Madyson Rigdon led the Saints with 17 points, while
Karlee Feldman recorded her third straight double-double with 14 points and 13 rebounds.
Antoinette Mussorici added 12 points, while
Carsyn Fearday finished with 11 points.
Drury recap
The Saints took a 9-8 lead on a Feldman layup before Drury tallied seven straight to jump on top. Fearday made a jumper to pull back to with four points but Drury held a 25-19 lead after 10 minutes. Two Feldman free throws chopped the deficit to 25-23. The Lady Panthers went on a 12-2 run before a layup by Feldman and a 3-pointer from Mussorici made it 37-30. Drury steadied itself and went into the break up 41-30.

Drury stretched its lead in the third with eight unanswered points before
Haidyn Pitsch drained a 3-pointer.
Faith Hawthorne scored to keep the Saints rally moving. Maryville made a push and tallied the final 10 points of the quarter. Rigdon sank two 3-pointers and Mussorici converted four free throws as the Saints closed to 55-52 after three.

Midway through the final quarter, Drury still led 61-56 but the Saints scored six straight points to jump back in front. Fearday started the run with a layup, and Feldman scored inside. A jumper by Fearday finally pushed the Saints on top 62-61 with 3:35 to play. Drury went back ahead before Mussorici scored on a drive. The Lady Panthers took a 65-64 edge until Mussorici made one free throw with 33.9 seconds left to tie the game at 65-all. After Drury scored to take the two-point lead, the Saints called timeout to advance the ball into the frontcourt. However, an attempt at the buzzer misfired as the Lady Panthers escaped with the narrow win.
