Indianapolis – The Maryville women's basketball team won its fourth straight game as the Saints outlasted Indianapolis 78-75 in overtime.
Antoinette Mussorici sank two free throws with 7.2 seconds left in the extra session to seal the victory. She was a perfect 10-for-10 at the stripe on the day.
Karlee Feldman had her second straight double-double with 17 points and 11 rebounds.
Faith Hawthorne added 14 points, while
Gracie Stugart hauled down a career-high 13 rebounds.
Indianapolis recap
Tied at 66-all to start overtime, Stugart hit a clutch 3-pointer to push the Saints on top. Mussorici added two free throws for a 71-66 margin. The Greyhounds closed the gap to one point before
Carsyn Fearday made one free throw, and Mussorici converted two more at the stripe. UIndy scored but
Jenna Cotter answered. The Greyhounds had a layup to pull to within 76-74 in the final minute. The Greyhounds got the ball back and hit the first of two free throws with 9.3 seconds left but missed the second. Mussorici went to the line with 7.2 ticks to go and sank both for a 78-75 lead. UIndy missed a jumper in the lane as time expired.

The Saints held the Greyhounds scoreless for the more than six minutes to start game and edged out to a 9-0 lead. The Maryville defense forced UIndy to miss its first 11 shots of the contest.

Faith Hawthorne converted two straight baskets.
Carsyn Fearday knocked down a jumper as the Saints tallied the opening nine points of the game.

Madyson Rigdon nailed a 3-pointer for a double-digit lead, and the Saints were up 16-8 after one quarter. The Saints opened the second quarter on a 7-0 burst. Fearday drained consecutive jumpers, and
Haidyn Pitsch splashed in a triple for a 23-8 lead. Another Pitsch trey gave the Saints their largest lead of the half at 37-20. Maryville toted a 39-22 edge into the break.

The Greyhounds shot more than 80 percent in the third quarter to cut into the Maryville lead. An 11-2 run cut the margin to single digits. Feldman tallied five straight points to boost the Saints back up to 48-37. Two late free throws by
Antoinette Mussorici built a 56-49 cushion heading into the fourth.

The Saints held a narrow advantage for most of the fourth quarter but UIndy finally took its first lead of the game at 64-63 with 2:50 to play. Mussorici answered for the Saints with a layup but the Greyhounds scored for a 66-65 lead. Down the stretch neither team scored before Feldman hit one free throw that tied the game 66-66. UIndy had a shot to win in regulation but Feldman blocked the attempt to force overtime.
