ST. LOUIS – The reigning Great Lakes Valley Conference Champions are nearly ready to hit the diamond as Maryville baseball announces its 2025 schedule.
Â
"We have a challenging schedule that will give our program the opportunity to compete against some of the top teams not only in our region, but all of NCAA Division II," said Head Coach
Pat Evers. "It will prepare us for our GLVC schedule, which is always competitive."
Â
The Saints' non-conference opponents include a season-opening series at Pitt State, followed by a five-game set in Springfield, Mo., with the Saints playing two games each against Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) powers Saginaw Valley State and Grand Valley State, and a concluding contest against Colorado State Pueblo.
Â
The rest of the non-conference schedule includes a road bout at the alma mater of Head Coach
Pat Evers, Central Missouri; a quad set of games on Maryville's campus featuring Emporia State, Hillsdale, and Missouri Western; and a lone contest against SIUE on March 25 to wrap up the non-GLVC schedule.
Â
As the Saints begin Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) play, they welcome Missouri S&T, UIndy, Southwest Baptist, and Quincy to St. Louis. Road GLVC play begins on March 28 with a four-game set at McKendree, followed by a series at Rockhurst in Kansas City, Mo. Their final road series are against Truman State, and they finish their season at crosstown rival Missouri-St. Louis.
