QUINCY, ILL. – Maryville men's basketball put six players in double figures and won its third straight contest with a 107-63 triumph over Barclay College.
Luke Williams led the way with the second-best shooting performance in school history as he hit 10-of-11 shots en route to a career-high 23 points. Williams' 90.9 percent field goal mark is surpassed only by Armon Provo's perfect shooting night (8-of-8) Feb. 7, 2013.
Lucas Burton contributed 20 points as the Saints shot 54.7 percent in the game, including 62.9 percent (22-of-35) in the first half.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Saints scored the first five points of the game to take early command. The edge stood at 16-10 before Maryville tallied eight straight.
Lawrence Brazil III splashed in a 3-pointer, and Williams found the range from deep.
Dewayne Vass scored on a drive for a 24-10 lead. Up 34-22, the Saints embarked on a 16-6 run for a 50-28 margin. Closing the first half with the final eight points put the gap at 58-31. Williams hit all seven of his attempts in the 20 minutes and finished with 16 points.

Williams scored on the first possession of the second half, and Burton tacked on two free throws as the margin ballooned to more than 30 points. Maryville went on a 12-0 run early after intermission and the advantage reached 46 points as the Saints scored their most points in a game since 134 versus Robert Morris Springfield Dec. 9, 2017.

Keyyaun Batchman had 14 points, while
Trey Redd finished with 12. Brazil III and
Anthony Holden both chipped in 10 points apiece. The Saints hit all 14 free throw attempts, tied for the second most attempts in a perfect game in program history. Maryville had six players score in double figures for the first time since Feb. 10, 2018.
