St. Louis – All five starters scored in double figures as the Maryville women's basketball team defeated league-leader Lewis 73-66. The victory stretches the Saints winning streak to six games.
Antoinette Mussorici led the way with 18 points, while
Carsyn Fearday added 15.

The Saints led 14-11 before scoring six straight points. Pitsch hit a long jumper, and
Gracie Stugart followed. A layup by
Annika Pluemer put Maryville ahead 20-11. Lewis got back to within 20-17 before the Saints answered with an 8-2 burst. Pitsch made one free throw and on the next possession sank a jumper. Feldman powered up for a layup before the Flyers scored. A Pitsch triple boosted the Saints up 28-19. Mussorici hit a pullup jumper, and Feldman followed with a three-point play. Pitsch was fouled and hit two free throws before the Saints took a 35-22 lead into the break.
The Flyers pulled to within 45-36 before Mussorici sank two free throws and
Faith Hawthorne tallied on a layup. Lewis rallied by scoring the last four points of the third and opened the fourth quarter with two straight triples to close the gap to 49-46. Feldman had a three-point play that steadied the Saints. The teams traded scores the next nine possessions to make it 64-61 with 3:17 to play. Mussorici sank a crucial jumper for a five-point lead. Just inside a minute to go, Lewis again closed to 67-64. Mussorici converted two at the free-throw line with 33 seconds to play, and the Maryville defense forced a miss. Mussorici made two more at the stripe for a 71-64, and Stugart added two more with 17 ticks left to put the game away. Fearday finished with 12 points, while Feldman and Stugart both finished with 10 points apiece.
