Game Recap: Women's Basketball |

Feldman Sets School Record with 20 Rebounds But Saints Winning Streak Ends

St. Louis – Despite a school-record 20 rebounds by Karlee Feldman, the Maryville women's basketball team saw its six-game winning streak come to an end at the hands of Indianapolis. The Greyhounds halted the Saints 80-55. Feldman's 20 boards snapped the previous program record of 19 set by Abby Monis Nov. 23, 2019, against Upper Iowa. Feldman had a double-double as she scored 14 points, while Carsyn Fearday led the Saints with 17 points.

Indianapolis recap
The Saints tied the game at 8-8 after two free throws by Gracie Stugart. The Greyhounds scored eight straight points before Feldman tallied at the end of the first quarter. Down 18-10 early in the second, Stugart sank a jumper and a 3-pointer to pull the Saints to within 18-15. However, UIndy reeled off a 19-2 burst to extend its advantage. Feldman converted back-to-back layups but the Saints trailed at halftime.

Still trailing by more than 20 points, Maryville used an 11-0 run that bridged the end of the third quarter and the start of the fourth. Fearday had a layup and free throw, followed by one at the line by Feldman. Antoinette Mussorici drained a 3-pointer, and Fearday hit consecutive jumpers to pull the Saints to within 60-47 with 7:34 to play. UIndy scored seven of the next 10 points to seal the victory
