Carsyn Fearday broke the Maryville women's basketball scoring record with 40 points as the Saints upset No. 18 Drury 77-75. During the game, she went over the 1,000-point mark for her NCAA career and is the 14th Maryville player to reach that milestone. The victory over Drury snapped an 18-game skid against the Lady Panthers.

Up 7-5 in the first, Fearday scored 12 straight points for the Saints as they opened up a 17-9 lead. Drury closed the gap to 20-16 but the Saints scored the final six points of the quarter.
Annika Pluemer drilled a 3-pointer from the top of the key, and Fearday sank three free throws for a 26-16 lead after 15 minutes.

Drury stayed close and chopped its deficit to 37-31 midway through the second. Fearday scored on a driving layup and tacked on two free throws. The Lady Panthers scored right at the buzzer as Maryville took a 41-33 edge into the break.

Fearday started the third with a layup, and a
Haidyn Pitsch 3-pointer put the Saints up 46-33, the largest of the day for Maryville. Mussorici sank a jumper as the Saints still were up double digits at 56-46 with 3:11 to play in the third. Drury scored six straight points but
Faith Hawthorne scored on a layup for a 58-51 edge heading to the fourth.

Maryville tallied five of the first seven points of the final stanza for a 63-53 cushion. The Saints stayed ahead and Fearday again took over. She tallied all nine points during a 9-2 blitz as the Saints opened up a 72-59 advantage with 3:29 to play. However, Drury mounted a big comeback. The Lady Panthers used an 11-1 run as the Saints missed three straight shots. Mussorici sank one free throw with a minute to go for a 74-70 lead. Drury hit a jumper to trim the gap to two. The Saints missed but grabbed an offensive rebound.
Gracie Stugart sank two free throws with 15.8 seconds to play for a 76-72 lead. Drury answered with a 3-pointer with 2.3 seconds to play.
Faith Hawthorne made one free throw with 0.3 ticks to go as Drury got the ball back. The Saints defense made a steal at the buzzer as Maryville held on for its first win over Drury since a 56-55 win March 6, 2014, during the GLVC Tournament.
