St. Louis – The Maryville men's basketball team saw its six-game winning streak halted by league-leader Indianapolis 64-51 Saturday afternoon.

Dewayne Vass scored 10 points apiece to pace the Saints.

The Saints sprinted out of the gate by scoring the first seven points.
JT Morgan and
Davis Walker both scored on drives.
Tutu Chisholm had a three-point play as the Saints took a 7-0 lead. The Greyhounds finally scored more than three minutes into the game.

Maryville stayed in front and led 17-8 on a Vass layup. The margin was still 23-15 after a Redd 3-pointer but the Greyhounds used a 12-0 run to take their first lead of the day. The Saints answered by scoring the final 10 points of the half.
Luke Williams started the run with a bucket, and Redd and Williams hit two straight free throws apiece. Vass scored on a layup and two more free throws for a 33-27 at halftime.

The Saints scored the first two baskets of the second half to take their largest lead of the day.
Anthony Holden knocked down a jumper, and a Morgan layup was good for a 37-27 lead. UIndy used an 11-2 run to get to within one point before
Ari Jackson drilled a 3-pointer for a 41-38 edge. The Greyhounds scored eight straight to jump ahead 46-41. Redd slowed the run with a layup but UIndy tacked on an 8-0 run to do ahead by double digits. Vass hit a jumper to trim the gap to single digits but Maryville never got closer than nine points.
