St. Louis – The Maryville University men's volleyball team saw two milestones reached on Senior Day but Thomas More proved to be spoilers as TMU handed MU a 19-25, 25-15, 18-25, 25-16, 15-8 defeat. During the match,
Cameron Chambers handed out his 2,000th career assist, while
Jacob Fischer notched his 500th career kill. Chambers finished a double-double with 35 assists and a team-high 11 digs.

In the fifth set, Maryville grabbed the lead by scoring the first three points. Fischer notched a kill, and he teamed with
Luke Kraft on a block. Chambers served an ace for a 3-0 margin.
Makai Scott put down a kill as Maryville went up 5-2. The MU margin was still 6-4 after another kill by Kraft. However, TMU jumped ahead on a 6-0 run. Scott had a kill to end the burst as Maryville pulled to within three points at 10-7. However, Thomas More tacked on another 4-0 run to take control.

Maryville took the opening set by holding TMU to just a .095 hitting percentage. Maryville used a 5-0 run and a later 4-0 spree that was the difference. Thomas More hit .500 in set two to even the score. MU answered in the third by also hitting .500. Leading 19-16, Maryville tallied four of the next five points to surge ahead. A kill by Fischer put Maryville up 2-1. However, TMU used a key 4-0 run in the fourth set and eventually forced the decisive fifth set.
