Michael Gould collected his second walk-off single of 2024 to help Maryville University to a four-game sweep of the University of Missouri-St. Louis on Saturday. The Saints were trailing one run in the bottom of the ninth with two outs when they got a walk and three consecutive singles to win the game.Â

The Tritons jumped out to an early 2-0 lead on a run in the first and Mitch Green's solo home run in the top of the second.
Colin Bergmann erased the lead with a three-run shot in the bottom of the second, his third of the campaign.Â

In the third, UMSL got three runs on two hits and forced
Pat Evers to call in
Noah Arras out of the bullpen. Arras went on to pitch 4.1 innings, with three earned and five strikeouts.

Jack Zebig singled in a run in the fourth to pull the Saints within one, but an Andrew Buscher two-run home run stretched the lead back out to 7-4. A
Nick Daugherty sacrifice fly in the bottom half made it 7-5, a Garrett Strenger safety squeeze put it at 8-5, and RBI from Daugherty and
Michael Long set it at 8-7.Â

Bryce Kulinski singled home another insurance run in the top of the eighth and
Jacob Hager restored the run with an RBI double in the bottom half.Â

Noah Harbin in his second inning of work shut out the Tritons in the top of the ninth, giving the Saints three outs to tally at least one run. UMSL registered two quick outs before walking
Camden Ruby and allowing
Andy Bunton to single to right. With runners at first and third, Zebig singled home the tying run.
Michael Gould came up in the next at-bat and drilled a ball through the left side for the 10-9 Maryville win to secure the four-game sweep.
