WARRENSBURG, Mo. –
Isabella Garcia hit a pair of home runs to lead Maryville softball to a doubleheader sweep of the University of Central Missouri on Wednesday. The junior from Brookfield, Ill., tallied home runs four and five on the season to power the Saints to a 17-10 game-one win and a 4-2 game-two victory.

Game One Recap
Central Missouri starter Kaylee Diggs set down the first two batters she saw in the top of the first but surrendered a two-out single to
Taylor Duff.
Isabella Garcia was the next batter and clubbed a two-run home run to put her team up 2-0.

After
Emily Senjan worked a scoreless bottom of the first on the rubber,
Kylie Swinney led off the second with a double. She advanced to third on
Emily Corona's single and scored on an RBI single from
Brooklyn Moore. In the bottom of the second, UCM scored two on two hits and a trio of free passes.

A pair of errors from the Mules in the third opened up a high-scoring third for the Saints. The seven-run frame was highlighted by an RBI single from Moore, an RBI single from
Cailynn Gdowski, a two-RBI knock from Garcia, and a run-scoring single from
Addison Koth.

An RBI triple in the bottom half of the third cut the visitors' lead to seven, but
Mandi Lenon added on with a two-RBI hit to left field in the fourth. Later in the inning,
Erin Wurst, Koth, Swinney, and Corona all singled in runs to extend the lead to 16-3.

Despite the 13-run deficit, the Mules continued fighting and got three in the fourth and three in the fifth.

th run in the seventh, before relief pitcher
Jenna Kosnoff finished off a 17-10 win.

Game Two Recap
Mercedes Delgado got the ball in game two and tossed up four consecutive scoreless frames to begin game two. In the third Duff doubled in two before another two-run home run from Garcia opened a 4-0 lead.

UCM cut the lead in half in the bottom of the fifth after a two-out double and a two-run home run from MaKenzie Cooper. In the sixth, Delgado worked around a pair of one-out hits to end her sixth inning of work with two earned runs, two walks, and one strikeout.

Senjan was called out of the bullpen in the seventh and sealed a 4-2 final and a Saints doubleheader sweep of the Mules.
