Kylie Swinney and
Jenna Kosnoff powered Maryville softball to a 10-3 game one win over Missouri S&T in a Sunday doubleheader split. The Saints are now 21-26 overall and sit tied for sixth with an 11-11 record in the Great Lakes Valley Conference.

Game One Recap
A quiet first inning from both teams set the stage for a loud top of the second for the Maryville offense.
Kylie Swinney clubbed a two-run home run to left field before RBI singles from
Melanie Nelson and
Brooklyn Moore.
Taylor Duff extended the lead to six with a two-RBI single a few batters later.

The Miners got a solo home run in the bottom of the second from Trista Grobe, but
Jenna Kosnoff drilled a two-run shot to respond in the third. An RBI triple from
Emily Corona and another RBI from Nelson pushed the score to 10-1.

Saints starter
Chayse Ramey gave up one more home run in the fifth before finishing off a 10-3 complete-game victory against the Miners. Ramey surrendered four hits and three earned runs while picking up nine strikeouts.

Game Two Recap
Missouri S&T jumped head in game two on the back of a four-run first inning. They added three more in the third on three hits and one error to put Maryville down 7-0.

Corona hit a solo home run to left field in the top of the fifth, her third of the season, and Duff followed later in the inning with an RBI single to score Nelson.

In the bottom of the fifth, the Miners plated three more runs to enforce the mercy rule and a 10-2 final.
