ST. LOUIS – Bryce Glisson, after a pass from Yayo Mutumbo, sat just three yards out from the Drury goal and with a powerful kick gave the Maryville men's soccer team a 1-0 lead with just under seven minutes to play. That was all that was needed for the Saints to send the fans home happy and to cap off 2024 homecoming with a victory.
The defense collected its second clean sheet of the season, despite employing three separate keepers with Ausgrimur Vidisson making his first collegiate appearance.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The bout was pretty standard throughout majority of the contest, with the Saints fighting for offense through both halves ending the day with 17 shots, six on goal.
After a zero-goal first half the action continued to pick up as Vidisson took over between the sticks. The action finally came to a tilt when Glisson collected his third goal of the season.
