QUINCY, Ill. – In their second-to-last regular season meet of the year, the Maryville swimming teams fell to the Quincy Hawks. The men's team was edged out 117-61, while the women's team saw a 135-39 defeat.

Despite falling in the overall team scores, the Saints celebrated multiple event victories and top finishes throughout the evening.
The men's 200-yard medley relay team of
Devon Tallent,
Wyatt Martin,
Gavin Baldes, and
Dalton Rice opened the meet with a victory, clocking in at 1:38.77.

Martin also claimed an individual win in the 50-yard freestyle, while Tallent excelled in multiple events, placing second in the 200-yard individual medley and taking first in the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 1:58.37.

On the women's side,
Khadija Moustafa topped the field in the 50-yard freestyle, with
Ellie Williams and
Lia Johnson finishing third and fourth, respectively, to round out a strong showing in the event.
