WINGATE, N.C. – The Maryville baseball team will be ranked No. 24 heading into it's 2025 campaign in the preseason National Collegiate Baseball Writers of America (NCBWA) Division II top 25 poll. The reigning Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) Champions ended 2024 with a 40-19 record and their second-consecutive trip to the regional final.

Pat Evers, who enters his seventh season as the helm of the Saints, see's key players return in
Camden Ruby,
Michael Long and
Dominic Sharp who sit as the offense with the most amount of at bats last season.

Ruby, who played in 44 of the Saints 59 contests, carried a .311 average, with a .884 OPS as well. Long is right there with Ruby, carrying a .922 OPS over 33 games played, adding 14 extra base hits to his name. Sharp a sophomore outfielder from Booneville, Ind. was just under 100 at bats, working a .815 OPS to his name.

The returning backstop for the Saints sits with
Matt Arnold who carried a .991 fielding percentage over 235 chances. He'll help manage a pitching staff that is headed up by
Ben Gregory who tallied 15 starts on the mound last season, including a win over Trevecca Nazarene in the NCAA tournament.

The Saints begin their season on the road at Pittsburg State with a three-game set starting on Feb. 14 in Pittsburg, Kan.
