INDIANAPOLIS – The Maryville men's soccer team fell 5-2 in a cold and wet road contest Sunday at the University of Indianapolis. Maros Ayelo and
Louis Le Bars each found the back of the net for the Saints.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Before the match settled in, the Greyhounds jumped ahead with a goal in the second minute, then doubled their lead in the 19th.
Ayelo cut the deficit in half with his fifth goal of the season in the 32nd minute, bringing the Saints within one before halftime.
Indianapolis regained control in the second half with goals in the 54th, 61st, and 69th minutes to extend its lead to 5-1.
Le Bars netted his second goal of the year in the 85th minute, but the late strike wasn't enough to spark another Saints comeback.
