Lindsey Schadewalt drained a career-high seven 3-pointers en route to a season-best 25 points to pace the Maryville women's basketball team to an 80-59 victory over Arkansas Fort Smith. Schadewalt's seven triples are tied for the third-most made in a game for the Saints as the team sank 14 3-pointers.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Saints trailed early but used a 10-0 surge to jump ahead bolstered by shots from deep. Schadewalt drilled a wing 3-pointer to start the run.
Adylan Ayer made one free throw and followed with a triple. Schadewalt connected again from beyond the arc for a 15-9 advantage.
Alicia Burgos scored inside to end the first, and Schadewalt splashed in another 3-pointer for a 20-11 lead early in the second. The Saints held a narrow margin that stood at 30-21 after
Helen Ben's three-point play. Maryville took a 34-27 lead into halftime when
Olivia Hahn scored at the buzzer.

UAFS got as close as four points but the Saints heated up from 3-point range.
Madyson Rigdon hit a 3-pointer before Schadewalt drained back-to-back triples to expand the lead to 43-30.
Gracie Gopalan scored on a drive and Schadewalt converted two at the line for a 47-32 edge. The Saints closed the third on an 8-2 run. Rigdon made two free throws before
Claire Lueken splashed in a corner 3-pointer.
Olivia Hahn completed a 3-point play for a 62-42 lead.

Annika Pluemer made consecutive 3-pointers early in the fourth quarter, and Schadewalt sank her seventh triple to put the game away at 71-48. Hahn led the Saints with six rebounds in just 16 minutes of play, while Gopalan directed the offense with five assists.
