INDIANAPOLIS – Maryville forward
Sebastian Weitlaner added another accomplishment to his senior season, earning selection to the 2025 Academic All-America® Division II Men's Soccer First Team, as chosen by the College Sports Communicators on Tuesday.
Weitlaner is the third Saint to be named to the First Team and the sixth CSC Academic All-American in program history. He holds a 4.00 GPA in Management & Leadership.
Maryville's leading scorer this season, Weitlaner finished with 10 goals, including three game-winners, one coming in the GLVC Quarterfinals at UIndy. He started 15 of 16 matches, led the team with 33 shots and placed 23 on target, posting the highest shot-on-goal percentage among Saints players.
The Saints finished the 2025 season with a Great Lakes Valley Conference Tournament championship victory and a 12-6-3 record, falling in the second round of the NCAA Tournament.
