SPRINGFIELD, MO. - The Maryville men's team was in Springfield, Mo., for two matches late Friday. The Saints lost a 5-2 contest to Northwest Missouri State and then dropped a decision to Drury by the same 5-2 score line.

Against the Bearcats,
Jose Hernandez and
Michel Delaloye prevailed in their No. 3 doubles match 6-4. NWMSU took the other two slots for the doubles point. In singles play,
Juan Suero rallied in three sets by a 5-7, 6-1, 10-5 score at No. 3.
Jack Quilty worked for a 6-1, 7-6 win in the sixth slot.

Versus the host Panthers, Suero and Quilty battled for a 6-2 win at No. 1, while
Markos Prentits and
Diego Alvarez were victorious at No. 3 in a 7-5 decision. Up 1-0 heading into singles action, Suero won his No. 4 match via a 6-3, 6-4 score. However, Drury rallied to take the match by the 5-2 decision.
