KANSAS CITY, MO. - The Maryville men's team was in Kansas City, Mo., to face Rockhurst and the team's singles play nearly rallied them to a win but the Hawks prevailed by a narrow 4-3 margin.

Lorenzo Biava and
Markos Prentits worked for a 6-4 win at the top doubles position. However, the Hawks won the decision by taking the remaining doubles contests.

Juan Suero cruised to a 6-3, 6-0 win at No. 3 singles, while Prentits rallied for a 4-6, 7-6, 6-3 victory at No. 4.
Jack Quilty earned the decision at the sixth position by taking a 7-5, 3-6, 6-3 win. However, the Saints were unable to grab another point in singles as Rockhurst held on for the team win.
