Six Women's Golfers Qualify for WGCA All-American Scholars Award

The Maryville University women's golf team saw six student-athletes garner the 2024-25 Women's Golf Coaches Association of America's All-American Scholars award. Qualifying for the honor are: Jenna Clark, Chloe Davidson, Fernanda Diaz-Pizarro, Ivy Lai, Effie Perakis and Maddie Vanderheyden.
 
To qualify for the award, players must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or higher and have played in at least 50 percent of the team's regularly scheduled competitive rounds during the year.
 
The women's golf team earned the 2025 Great Lakes Valley Conference Team Academic Award and seven members of the team earned Academic All-GLVC honors this season. Effie Perakis garnered the Brother Gaffney Distinguished Scholar Award for posting a 4.0 grade point average last year, while Clark, Davidson and Lai all graduated with the GLVC Council of Presidents' Award in 2025. The Saints led all Maryville athletics teams with a combined team GPA of 3.86.
