SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – The Maryville men's soccer team dropped its second game in a row on the road, falling 2-1 to the Drury Panthers. Marcos Ayelo was the goal scorer for the Saints, hammering home one in the 16th minute of action. 

HOW IT HAPPENED
It was 1-0 Saints early, with Jacob Darwesh Lund Iversen dishing the ball up field to an open Ayelo who hammered it to the top of the frame, past the diving Panther keeper for the 1-0 lead. 

That advantage did not hold, however, as Drury evened the score in the 37th minute. Coming out of the break, both squads traded flurries of shots, with the Drury decider coming in the 79th minute.

The Saints will look to regroup on Sunday, Sept. 28 at 2:30 p.m., in Rolla, Mo., as they take on the Missouri S&T Miners.
