ST. LOUIS –
Kobe Clark and
Lincoln Palbicki both registered double-doubles but the Maryville men's basketball team came up short against Upper Iowa Friday afternoon. Clark finished with 12 points and 14 rebounds, while Palbicki notched 10 points and 10 boards but the Peacocks pulled away in the second half for a 95-73 win.
Henry Sanchez and
Raynard Horry both finished with 12 points apiece as the Saints had four players score in double figures. Maryville crashed the boards and outrebounded UIU 51-36.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Saints were down 42-32 at halftime and UIU scored on the first possession of the second half.
Preston Clark drained a wing 3-pointer, and
Noah Courtney sank two free throws as the Saints closed to within 44-37. UIU scored two straight buckets but
Kobe Clark answered with two baskets for Maryville for a 48-41 deficit.

The Peacocks went back up by 57-43 before
Kobe Clark converted a layup. Palbicki answered UIU baskets to keep the Saints within range as 65-51 with 12 minutes to play. However, Upper Iowa outscored the Saints 12-4 the next four minutes to put the game out of reach.
