ST. LOUIS – The Maryville men's basketball squad put four players in double figures against Lewis but the Flyers used a hot-shooting second half to pull away for an 86-66 decision.
Noah Courtney led the Saints with 18 points, while
Preston Clark and
Eric Hackett both finished with 13 points.
Henry Sanchez tacked on 10 points.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Lewis led 15-11 until the Saints surged ahead on the heels of an 11-2 run. Hackett's 3-pointer started the run, and Sanchez followed from deep. Courtney sank a pair at the line before Sanchez connected from beyond the arc for a 22-17 lead. Lewis managed to tie the game at 29 but
Kobe Clark and Sanchez answered with triples for a 35-29 advantage. The Saints settled for a 35-33 lead at halftime.

The Flyers scored the first six points of the second half until
Lincoln Palbicki powered for a layup.
Preston Clark's jumper brought the Saints to within 43-41. Lewis inched out again but Courtney's bucket made it 54-48 with just under 13 minutes left to play.
Kobe Clark and Courtney scored to keep the Saints within striking distance, and a Hackett jumper pulled Maryville back to 64-56 at the 7:31 mark. A trey by
Preston Clark cut the gap to 72-62 but the Saints never were able to get the margin back down to single digits.
