Hahn’s Double-Double Boosts Saints to Fifth Straight Win with 74-37 Triumph at Lincoln

ST. LOUISOlivia Hahn's first double-double on a career-high 16 points with 10 rebounds helped the Maryville women's basketball team cruise to its fifth straight victory with a 74-37 decision at Lincoln. The sophomore guard drained three 3-pointers in the first half and finished with five in the game as the Saints scored 13 of the game's first 15 points and led the entire way.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Lindsey Schadewalt opened the scoring with a jumper, and Madyson Rigdon followed with a 3-pointer. Annika Pluemer scored to make it 7-0. The Saints defense held Lincoln without a point for nearly five minutes before the hosts finally scored. Olivia Hahn splashed back-to-back 3-pointers as the Maryville lead grew to double digits at 13-2. The Saints led 14-6 after the first.

The second quarter saw the same early burst as the Saints opened the frame with eight of the first 11 points. Rigdon made one free throw, and Schadewalt added a layup. After a Gracie Gopalan three-point play, two at the line by Rigdon pushed the edge to 22-9. Lincoln made one free throw before Hahn drilled her third triple of the half, and a Gopalan triple made it 28-10 at halftime. The Saints only gave up three field goals in the half as the Blue Tigers went 3-for-31 from the field.

Hoops by Schadewalt and Alicia Burgos opened the third. After a Rigdon three-point sequence, Schadewalt drilled a trey. Burgos worked inside for a layup that pushed the Saints on top 40-16. Another Hahn 3-pointer pushed the advantage to 48-25 and the Saints led 56-31 by the end of the frame. Maryville led by as many as 38 points in the fourth as it continued its best start to GLVC play in program history.
